Uncommon Union is honored to be working with Luis Moreno-Ocampo, the first Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC). In addition to communications strategy, partnership development and client relations for Moreno Ocampo LLC, Uncommon Union also manages multiple pro bono projects, assists in educational outreach, public relations, and more.
Mr. Ocampo was instrumental in establishing the ICC in The Hague during his tenure (June 2003- June 2012). Following his tenure, Mr. Ocampo has worked independently on numerous high profile cases including the Colombian peace agreement and the Yazidi genocide. Uncommon Union has provided a range of services to support these and the many other complex undertakings of Moreno Ocampo LLC.
The creation of an international court to protect human rights was a longtime goal of the United Nations. The office of the ICC prosecutor engaged the most serious crises and human rights violations of the 21st century in Iraq, North Korea, Afghanistan, and Palestine. Mr. Ocampo oversaw investigations in seven different countries including Libya and Sudan. His work remains committed to the cause of international law and human rights.
